Wire Ampacity
Ampacity is used to look up the allowable ampacity of insulated conductors rated 0–2000 V that are installed at an ambient temperature of 30°C or 40°C with no more than three current-carrying conductors in a raceway, cable, or directly buried in earth. The lookup data is based on the applicable NEC® Conductor Ampacity Tables for 30°C and 40°C ambient temperatures. Simply select the conductor’s characteristics to display the rated ampacity.
Ambient Temp is used to determine the ampacity temperature correction factor for conductors installed in ambient temperatures other than 30°C or 40°C. The lookup data is based on the applicable NEC® Temperature Correction Factor Tables for 30°C and 40°C ambient temperatures. Select the actual ambient temperature at the installation location to display the required correction factor.
More Than 3 is used to determine the ampacity adjustment factor required when more than three current-carrying conductors are installed in the same raceway or cable. The lookup data is based on the applicable NEC® Ampacity Adjustment Factor Table. Select the number of current-carrying conductors to display the required adjustment factor.

Grounding
Equipment provides the required minimum size of an equipment grounding conductor (EGC) used to ground raceways and equipment. Based on the NEC® Equipment Grounding Conductor Table, simply select the wire type and the rating or setting of the overcurrent protective device ahead of the raceway or equipment to determine the minimum required equipment grounding conductor size.
Electrode provides the required minimum size of the grounding electrode conductor (GEC) for alternating-current systems. Based on the NEC® Grounding Electrode Conductor Table, select the wire type and the size of the largest ungrounded conductor—or the equivalent area for parallel conductors—to determine the minimum required grounding electrode conductor size.
Upsized EGC calculates the required equipment grounding conductor size when the ungrounded phase conductors have been increased in size, such as to compensate for voltage drop. Enter the original and increased conductor sizes to determine the minimum required upsized equipment grounding conductor.

Conduit Fill
Fill Tables is used to look up the maximum number of conductors of the same type and size permitted in a single raceway. The data is based on the NEC® Conduit Fill Tables. Select the conduit type, trade size, conductor type, and conductor size to view the maximum allowable number of conductors.
% Fill Calculation is used to calculate the conduit fill percentage for any combination of conductor types and sizes installed in a single raceway. The calculation is based on the NEC® Conduit and Conductor Property Tables. Enter the conductor types, quantities, and sizes, then choose the conduit type and trade size to view the calculated conduit fill percentage.

Minimum Cover
Minimum Cover is used to look up the minimum cover requirements for buried conduits and cables rated 0–1000 VAC or 1500 VDC. The information comes from the NEC® Minimum Cover Table. Choose the applicable installation characteristics to see the required minimum cover.

Motors
1-Phase is used to look up the full-load current for different sizes of 1-phase motors. The information comes from the NEC® 1-Phase Motor Full-Load Current Tables. Choose the listed characteristics and see the corresponding 1-phase full-load current.
3-Phase is used to look up the full-load current for different types and sizes of 3-phase motors. The information comes from the NEC® 3-Phase Motor Full-Load Current Tables. Choose the listed characteristics and see the corresponding 3-phase full-load current.
