NG Volt™ Privacy Policy

NG Volt™ is an iPhone and iPad application developed by NG Orange LLC™ (“we,” “our,” or “us”). NG Orange is an independent app developer and is not affiliated with the NEC® or NFPA®.
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the NG Volt app. We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, and changes will be effective upon posting.
Personal Information is Not Collected
NG Volt does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information directly. The app can be used without providing personal information. NG Volt does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. NG Volt does not use third-party analytics or tracking technologies.
Local Device Data
NG Volt stores limited data locally on your device using Apple-provided technologies. This data does not contain personal information and is used only to support app functionality. UserDefaults is used to store basic app settings and user preferences. SwiftData with iCloud is used to store user-created records. This data is saved to your personal iCloud account and may sync across your devices. NG Orange does not have access to this data. Any information stored in iCloud is controlled by your Apple account and settings.
How Information Is Used
Data used by NG Volt is used solely to provide app functionality, save and sync user records, generate PDF output, remember user preferences, and improve the user experience. No data is used for tracking, advertising, or analytics by NG Volt.
PDF Output and Data Handling
NG Volt allows you to generate PDF documents based on data you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that data. Exported files, including those shared by email, messaging, or other methods, are shared at your discretion. NG Orange is not responsible for how exported files are used, stored, or transmitted.
Third-Party Services
NG Volt uses limited third-party services for app functionality.
RevenueCat is used to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may process anonymous purchase-related data. For more information, please review RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple Services (App Store, iCloud, and TestFlight) are used to install, operate, and test the app.
Apple may collect diagnostic data, usage data, and account-related information. This may include purchase information, crash logs, and contact information (especially during testing via TestFlight). Apple may also process and store data in your iCloud account to enable syncing across your devices. For more information, please review Apple Privacy Policy.
Data Retention and Security
Because NG Volt does not collect personal data directly, no personal data is retained by NG Orange. Local app data remains on your device unless deleted. iCloud data remains in your Apple account until you delete it. We rely on Apple’s platform-level security, including iCloud protections, to protect your information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)
Although NG Volt does not directly collect personal data, California residents have the right to request information about data collection practices and request deletion of personal information (if applicable). To make a request, please visit our Contact Us page.
Children’s Privacy
NG Volt is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

NG Volt™ Terms & Conditions

NG Volt™ is developed by NG Orange LLC™. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws. We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time, and changes will be effective upon posting.
Use of App
Your use of NG Volt is at your own risk. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that all data entered into the app is accurate, complete, and appropriate for your use. You are also responsible for verifying that any results or outputs are correct and suitable for your specific application. We will not be liable or responsible for any errors or omissions related to the data and its use.
Intellectual Property
All content and functionality within NG Volt are the property of NG Orange or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the results generated by the app in personal or commercial work. However, you may not reproduce, redistribute, or create competing products based on the app.
Disclaimer of Warranties
NG Volt is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NG Orange and its affiliates will not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to use of the app, reliance on calculations or outputs, data entry errors or omissions, or inability to use the app. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, except where prohibited by law.
Engineering and Calculation Responsibility
NG Volt provides calculation tools based on user input. The accuracy of results depends on the accuracy and completeness of the data entered. You are responsible for determining and entering accurate, appropriate, and complete data for each of the required circuit or equipment input fields in order to calculate an appropriate output. You are responsible for selecting appropriate conductor sizes, entering correct ambient temperatures, determining appropriate power factors, and providing accurate short circuit current values. You are also responsible for selecting and applying appropriate calculation methods and verifying all outputs against applicable standards and real-world conditions.
For transformer calculations, impedance values may vary from nameplate values due to manufacturing differences. Adjustments such as increasing or decreasing impedance values may be appropriate depending on the intended use. You are responsible for determining which values and methods to use. NG Volt does not validate whether inputs or results are suitable for any specific application.
PDF Output
PDF documents generated by NG Volt are based entirely on user-provided data. You are responsible for verifying all content before use. NG Orange is not responsible for how exported documents are used or distributed. By using the app, you agree to the use of the formulas reflected in the PDF output and acknowledge responsibility for all input values used in the calculations. Final responsibility for the accuracy of all output results rests with the user.
Third-Party Services
NG Volt relies on third-party services such as Apple and RevenueCat. NG Orange is not responsible for the performance, policies, or practices of these third parties.
License
Use of NG Volt is subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Subscriptions
NG Volt may offer auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in the NG Volt app, or through your Apple account settings. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.
